the ever faithful Dark TNT all
fished match the hatch Style
with Dark TNT wafters,
As ever the cold wet and
windy January night past with
no action and due to the big
south easterly Winds hacking
The rod hooped round and I
w a s c o n n e c t e d t o So m t h i n g
that seemed to be heavy and
holding its ground when all of
a sudden I felt the pressure
ease as the fish turned with
that the line went slack!
I nearly threw up ! that one
hurt that one hurt a lot, That
was my first proper carp take
in at me, I was never gonna
here one show if they were too,
I was woken up early on the
Friday to a couple of short
bleeps , On inspection I had
a big old trailing bramble
resting across the right hand
rod blowing about in the wind
setting off the alarm, still being
fairly dark and wanting to just
close my eyes and go back to
sleep I knew I had to deal with
this Bramble, so I got up and
removed the bramble as I’m
stomping it back into the bush
out of no where my middle rod
started absolutely ripping!

in 45 nights across both lakes

have quite possibly been the
only bite I was gonna get! I

The
weather
stayed
persistent and the next 48
hours went by without so
m u c h a s b l ee p o r a si g h t i n g
when sat watching the water/
r o d s a l m o st 4 8 h o u r s l a t e r t o
the minute I had what I can
o n l y d e s c ri b e a s a b i t o f t e n c h y
take on the right hand rod
which was fished on a closer
o n s p o t wh i c h a t b i t e t i m e
r e a l l y w a sn ’t t h e o n e, S o i n a
