Friday. I arrived early afte rn o o n to q u i te an e m p t y l a ke , a n d a
q u iet Farlows is very rare . I we n t a b o u t my b u s i n e s s , d o i n g a
c o uple of laps of the lake b e fo re I m ad e b a s e c a mp i n p e g 4 9 ,
a s it was black with carp o n a SW wi n d . A f te r l ea d in g a ro u n d
t rying to find some clear s p o t s , I ca m e a c ro s s a s h o rt ra n g e
s p ot that I put two rods o n , b o t h o n a D NA B ai t s S 7 Ha l f To n e
p o p-up and laid on a few S p o m b s o f M i n i M i x , a s I wa s o n ly
f i s hing for one bite. It’s ve r y we edy i n f ro n t o f 4 9 , a n d o n t h e
t h ird rod, I attacked the we ed w i t h a so li d b a g f u ll o f D NA

was absolutely over the m o o n to la n d t h es e Fa rl ows c a rp , a s
i t ’ s only my second trip o n th e l ake , w i th t h e f i rst s e s s i o n
