BAN OVERTURNED
After months of backlash and pressure, the Derbyshire Council
has admitted an oversight on the ban they implemented on the
Wingerworth Lido.
Fishing will now resume on an interim basis, which has been
hailed as a success story, while providing a strong statement
to any other councils looking to ban angling that it will not be
taken lightly.
As well as those involved from the Countryside Alliance, Big
Duffs Fishing and the Angling Trust we want to thank each and
every angler who shared our posts, signed the original petition
and completed questionnaires, as without the support, who
knows what outcome may have been reached.
It just shows that despite the negativity we see in angling towards
one another at times if we all stick together as we should, just
want can be a chieved!
