made a plan to
get down to my local win t e r

w hich thankfully was f r e e
w hen I arrived and th e res t o f
t h e lake was pretty b usy, a f t e r
a quick walk round, it w a s
a n easy decision to drop i n
t h e zone I fancied as i t h a s a
s h allow area straight in f r o n t
o f the swi m, which ho pef u l l y
t h e carp would have b e e n
creeping onto with the rise in
t e m p e r a t u r e.
I set about finding a couple
o f s p o t s wi t h a b a r e l e a d
first, then switching over to
a p r o n g e d l ea d t o m a k e s u r e
they were clean, maggot
hookbaits were sent out on
t h e e v e r f a i t h f u l I Q 2 D r i g s,
f o l l o we d u p w i t h a f e w s p o d s
o f j u s t s t ra i g h t m a g g o t s .
