would get cat food mushe d u p , mi x i n g t h a t in to a p a s te u s i n g
c e rtain ingredients such as s e mo li n a to h e lp b i n d i t . I t wa s a l l
p a ste baits really. I starte d to f i n d m i lk p ro te i n s aro u n d t h a t

b a it with t he wheat gluten . We ’d mi x i t w i t h e g g s , a n d i t wo u l d
h ave good binding q ualiti e s an d s tay o n t h e h o o k for q u i te a
while. That’s how I caugh t my f i r s t d e c en t c a rp re a l ly, u s i n g
p a ste baits like that , and we wo u ld u s e s h ri m p f l avo u ri n g s o r
m aple flavouring.

b u t I also used that in my b o i l i es . It h a d a ve ry s t ro n g s me l l to
i t , and that’s what I used. I us e d a lo t o f m il k p ro te i n s th a t I
would buy off Martin Cowl s. I b o u gh t a lo t o f i n g red i e n ts f ro m
