handfuls of Boily and climbed
t h rough until august an d f e l t

f i n ally found most of th e f i s h
i n the snags on the lo ck b a n k
a l l hidden in the sh ade f r o m
t h e blazing sun incl ud i n g
B e nson. I watched them f o r a
w hile, and it became evid e n t
t h at every time the y l eft t h e
s a nctuary of the snags t h e y
w ould tip up and have a l o o k
o n a small gravel spot that wa s
an overhanging tree to watch.

t h e y wo u l d t r y a n d f e ed o n
the spot, I would throw 3 or 4
B o i l y s a t th em t o s p o o k t h e m
a s i t wa s B e ns o n o r b u s t ! T h i s
game of cat and mouse went
on for hours in the blazing
sun until eventually there was
only 2 fish left Benson and a
s m a l l m i d d o u b l e m i r r o r. T h e
mirror left passing the spot
without looking at the bait
and after another 20 minutes
h a d p a s s e d, c u r i o s i t y g o t t h e
b e t t e r o f m e. I c l i m b e d d o w n
to see if I could see Benson, I
c o u l d n ’t s e e h e r a n d t h o u g h t
she had left the snags by a
