a bit burnt out and sorry for
myself for all the blanking.
We started catching well off
the surface and over the next
three days we had a massive
hit of fish. Most days I’d catch
roughly four-five fish a day and
ended up with 13 fish before
my shift started again. James
went on the catch even more.

were usually my best day as
the complex would clear out
and I’d find my way to the fish
easily. I’d get my fishing fix
most evenings off the surface.
I did catch the odd fish from

The biggest I had was an old

a good catalyst for my future
fishing while working here.
Floaters were the way after

To summarise my fishing

say. If you ignore them you’re
missing out on a very high
percentage of possible bites.
Most people put way too much
bait in and the lads who catch
well have all the strings to
their bows and utilise them in
the right situations. They also
know how to get to the swim
they need. Obviously getting
on the fish is important but
not always possible.
