than the carp. The lead will be bouncing all over the place
and quite possibly loosen the hook hold. That’s why so
many carp are lost when zig fishing. Lose the lead, not the
fish.
I put the zig out and left it on my bite alarm while I set
up the rest of my kit. The others were all going about the
business of getting their own rods out. Ben knew exactly
where he was going to put his hook baits, having caught
from these spots on the previous visit. Mango and Scott

my camp and had completely forgotten about the zig. That
was until my alarm reminded me with an audible sound. I
