bramble bush. If you pull the rod up, it will definitely snag
the line on the bush or branches. It’s no good using this
tactic if you are fishing at distance, but it will help when
you get the fish close in and near the net. The tactic worked,
a n d t h e c a r p c a m e s l o w l y a w a y f r o m d a n g e r. A l t h o u g h B e n
had got it away from the bramble bush, the carp was not by
any means ready to come in. It was giving a good account
of itself. The first glimpse we got of it was when it rolled.

block on the net, and it was captured. It definitely was a
