was helping all the youngsters
catch carp from the surface.
The fish were a little further out
than I could comfortably cast,

Learning From The Best:
The next morning we wound
the rods in so we could enjoy
everything the show had to
offer. One of my favourite parts
was watching Tom Maker, who
demonstrated his spinner rig
and showed everyone how he
fishes it with worms on top.
It was fascinating watching
someone
with
so
much
before firing out a few handfuls
of floaters. Within minutes I
was hooked into another fish.
My first ever surface-caught
carp from Linear. A lovely 16lb
linear. I couldn’t stop smiling.
I’d now caught fish from both
B1 and B2!
