The second day of the
session was much the same as
the first, the south westerly
winds battered my end of
the pit, the conditions were
a carp anglers dream. I had
fish showing and rolling close
to my banker spot again but
for some reason they seemed
reluctant to come any closer
than 30 yards away or so, but
t h a t w a s c l o s e e n o u g h f o r m e.
I knew I was in with a shout
if I just repeated the process
with the banker rod – large
solid bag and a sprinkling
of bait over the top with
the other two going out on
German wafter rigs. All day it
l o o k e d a m a z i n g, l i k e I s h o u l d
get a bite at any moment, but
i t j u s t s i m p l y n e v e r c a m e, I
was beginning to question

on the second night dreaming
of uses for cuckoo meat,
potential cuckoo recipes and
seriously
questioning
my
