He thought I was mad at f i r s t a n d wa s l i ke , “ W h at th e h e l l
a re you on about?” but I ex p l ai n e d th a t i f t h e m i rro r c a me i n
to pick up the rigs then we wo u ld g et a b i te . We re a l ly h a d a
l a ugh about this.
We literally had 20 mi nu te s b e fo re we h a d to b e g o n e be fo re
t h e boat club came out with th e s ai lb o a t s fo r t h e d ay. Eve ryt h i n g
was literally put away in t he c a r, a n d al l I ha d l ef t o u t wa s t h e
m at , the rod and the net . A s I p e e re d d ow n i n to th e wa te r ove r
t h e baited spot , there was a c a r p , l i te ra lly o n e carp , a l l o n h i s
own grubbing around on t h e b a i t , a n d i n ch e s f ro m h im l ay my
white pop-up, ancho red o n a m ul t i -r i g o n a l ea d cl ip sys te m
w i th a 5oz lead. I said to D an ny, “ T hi s i s 1 0 0 % a b i te ,” a n d h e
s a id, “Is that the fish that p h o n e d yo u ? ” We l a u gh ed a b o u t i t ,
a n d then all of a sudden, th e f i s h j us t g ra b b e d h o ld o f th e p o p u p , and it was away. Now, a ll t h e f i s h I h ave c a u gh t i n t h e s e
d o cks fight hard, but this o n e p art i c ul ar f i s h wa s a d e m o n ,
a n d as you can see in the p i c t ure s, t h e ta i l o n t h is m i rro r wa s
