s a id to Danny, “This fish is g o ne , ma te . I ’ m n eve r g o i n g to l a n d
i t ; I’m literally waiti ng for t he l i n e to s n ap .” S o I p u t th e ro d
d own on the chains and pu t a b o tt le c ap o n t h e s p o o l w i t h th e
b a il arm open to see if t he f i s h wo u ld f re e i t s e l f s o me h ow.
D a nny was putting his stuf f away i n h i s c a r, a n d I we n t b a ck to
my car to get something. Wh e n I c am e b a c k, t h e b o t t l e c ap wa s
o n the floor. I was like, “Wh a t’ s h ap p en i n g h ere , D a n ? ”
I picked up the rod, wo u n d d ow n t h e s l ac k l i n e, a n d t h e n ,
b o om… the water just eru p te d, an d wh ateve r t h e f i s h wa s
s n agged up on had now m ove d. It wa s li ke a m a s s ive s u r fa c e
o f bubbles foaming in the wa te r a n d a m as s ive c l o u d of s i l t
c o ming up over the snagg e d f i s h . I d o n’ t kn ow wh a t i t wa s –
m aybe a traffic cone or so me t hi n g n o t to o h e av y, a s i f i t wa s a
t rolley or something simila r, b u t i t wa sn’ t g o i n g any wh e re . S o
n ow was back playing the f i s h , ly i ng o n t he f l o o r a n d m a k i n g
s u re I could bring it under t h e je t ti e s . D a n ny wa s l i ke , “ I c a n’ t
b e lieve you’re actually st i l l p l ay i ng t h i s f i s h – anyo n e e l s e
would have lost it!”
Finally it surfaced this s i d e o f t he j e tt i e s o u t to t h e l e f t , a n d
a t first glimpse we though t i t wa s a ko i b e c au s e o f t h e co l o u r.

c reature and took some sh o t s al s o o f t h i s s tu n n e r. A s yo u c a n
