firm pressure was needed to keep it from the snags. It was
another low-20 stockie, and the rod went back out. Within
ten minutes, the same rod went off again with a mid-20
mirror this time. I had managed eight fish over the three
nights and was feeling pretty chuffed with how things were
going.
My next session was another three nights towards the end
o f A p r i l , a n d I w e n t i n t o a s w i m c a l l e d ‘ Tu r f s ’ o p p o s i t e t h e
infamous Springate’s. I had a really good lead around and
found some pukka spots that were covered in silkweed and
full of naturals. All three rods were spread out over the
area, and I deposited 30 Spombs of boilies and particle over
