Danny and Jack have also caught her on my spot on one of

out … I’d been at the dock from 4am as usual, but the water
quality on this particular morning was very murky and
d i r t y l o o k i n g , a n d I c o u l d n’ t s e e a t h i n g i n t h e w a t e r w h e n
I got there. Bear in mind I’d been over the night before as
always, prepping my spot for the morning’s fishing, filling
it in with some bait and could see perfectly clearly then. In
the morning, I checked the tides on the website and they
were not even due in until around 6am, so I thought it was
really strange that the water was so clouded up.
A n y w a y, I g o t a r o d i n p o s i t i o n , a n d y o u g u e s s e d i t , t h e c l o u d
w a s a f u l l - o n b r e a m p a r t y. I t s t a r t e d f r o m t h e m o m e n t t h e
l e a d h i t b o t t o m i n t h e m i d d l e o f t h e d a n c e f l o o r. W i t h i n a
couple of minutes my bottle cap had slowly fallen off my reel
and was bouncing along the concrete, as the bream never
really take line when you’re fishing 5oz leads; the tips just
bang a little and the line tightens up. So I was into a bream,
a n d a n o t h e r a n d a n o t h e r a n d y e a h , y o u g o t i t , I h a d a r r iv e d
a t t h e d o c k s w h i l e t h e b r e a m w e r e h a v i n g a f u l l - o n l o c k- i n
at the local pub and having a party on all my buffet food I’d
l a i d o u t t h e n i g h t b e f o r e . I t h o u g h t I c o u l d n’ t h a n d l e t o o
much of this bream party and was thinking I’d shoot off
home and help out with dropping the kids off to school.
T h e n o u t o f n o w h e r e , t h e h e ave n s o p e n e d u p , a n d i t a b s o l u t e ly
poured down hardcore for about 20 minutes, but luckily on
this morning I’d brought my brolly with me as there was a
forecast for heavy showers. So I’m now sat under my brolly
filming this rain absolutely smashing me to bits, and as
