Holyf i eld or the 18 LB PB from
Harry’s as i had no camera first
time and at Harry’s I’d run out
of film. So, I let the fish go as
it was October dark, cold and
I was using my carp sack as
a cover to try and keep warm
until my mum would come to
pick me up at an arranged time.
In fact, I never had incredible
Hainualt Forest Park Lake and
that it contained carp over
30lb but that it was quite a
tricky water. This was late
into1989 so I had split up with
my girlfriend had been with
for a few years and decided
to take up the challenge of
trying to catch a 20lb plus
carp and hopefully bigger!

Through a friend of the
family, I was told about

this nickname. He had one big

straight in the face. Ha ha ha.
In fact, he was just the first of
a whole lot of characters that
fished and visited the banks of
this historic and special Public
Park Lake. Also the stock of
