An hour or so later, I too k Ko o p er ro u n d t h e l a ke fo r a wa l k
a n d spotted a few fish opp o s i te to t h e a re a I wa s f i s h i n g an d
s l i ghtly up the lake. N ow n o r ma l ly I wo u ld n’ t eve n c o n te mp l a te
m oving swims when I’m c a tc hi ng , b ut so me t h i n g i n my g u t
to ld me I had to. So befo re l o n g t h e d ay h a d p a s s e d , i t wa s
4 p m, and I was all set up i n my n e w sw i m w i t h al l t h re e ro d s
o u t along a deep gully at t h e b a s e o f a s ha l low b a r a t aro u n d
a hundred yards.
A few hours into darknes s an d o n e o f my i n d i c a to r s d rop p e d
b a ck, only an inch or two , b u t i t wa s e n o u gh to h ave m e o u t
