usually elusive Roger the
Dodger has been out twice
in quick succession, with
Harry Palmer continuing his
fine start to life on Horton
Church Lake by nailing the
coveted mirror on a zig!
Harry said: “I got down
o n We d n e s d a y a n d h a d a
low twenty on a zig within
a n h o u r, s o t h o u g h t i t w a s
gonna be a good session,
but a few days later nothing
else had happened.
“I was on the phone to my
dad and said I was thinking
about coming home a day
e a r l y, b u t h e t a l k e d m e i n t o
s t a y i n g, t h e n t h e n e x t m o r n i n g
I ended up having two takes
on the zigs, the best one being
Roger the Dodger at 48lb 8oz,
w h i c h w a s a n e w P B f o r m e,
and a 27lb common. I was
absolutely made up with it!
“Zigs fished 6ft under the
surface with black foam
soaked in Bug Amino Smoke
did the trick!”
